Company History
Company President Herb Gooding had worked in the corporate audio-visual industry for many years when he realized that he could fill a void. In 1989 he established Electronic Language Communications Ltd. The business was founded with a few simple, yet profound principles in mind:- to provide and maintain high quality equipment
- to establish long-term relationships with clients
- to employ talented people and provide them with the best training
Over three decades in business has provided ELC with the experience and expertise to ensure that your event runs smoothly. Our continual reinvestment in state of the art technology ensures that we are able to meet the growing needs of our clients across North America and Europe.
ELC has been a forerunner in the introduction of state of the art technologies to the Canadian market. We were the first audio-visual company to introduce Audience Response Systems (Electronic Voting) in the 1980's, and we continue to be a trendsetter to this day. In 2010 we became the first company in Canada to introduce the BOSCH Wireless Discussion System.
Herb's dedication to ensuring that ELC is current in the field extends well beyond his familiarity with the day to day operations of the company. Working with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), ELC has been helping to set industry standards for Simultaneous Interpretation Equipment since 1983.
